A fantastic response for Alison Moyet’s performance at the Burberry show today as part of London Fashion Week.
The Evening Standard: “Of course, this being Burberry, this show was about so much more than just clothes thanks to Alison Moyet who sang live.
Moyet, who enjoys near superstar status among the fashion industry, ignited spontaneous applause from those who watched from the front row. Transfixed by her presence, many missed the clothes entirely. ”
The FT: “I know what you really want to know, though. What did Alison Moyet sing? “All Cried Out”, “When I Was Your Girl”, “Whispering Your Name” and “Only You” — she sang the lot in a belted black trench with gold accents. And she was awesome.”
Alison performed 4 songs with the 32-piece orchestra in front of the likes of Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Benedict Cumberbatch and Sienna Miller: All Cried Out, When I Was Your Girl, Whispering Your Name and Only You.
Alison herself tweeted after the event: “Oh my goodness. Such a thrill it was singing for the great British #Burberry. Christopher Bailey, what a brilliant soul. Fantastic team.”
The tracks will be available on iTunes and Burberry will upload footage of the performance to their new Curator channel on Apple Music.
